Don't over-think. Just do. Be happy!

This process was a tad bit difficult for me because I didn't know what six words to put to describe my life. Once I reflected back on my life and thought about how I got to where I am today and who I am today I knew what my six words were going to be. Don't over-think: I used to have a tendency of over-thinking everything I did. Whenever I would think about things too much I would just stress myself out and not truly do what I wanted to do because I would be too busy thinking about the consequences or what would happen after I did it. Just do: The more I started to just do things and not over-think it I realized I was able to enjoy what I was doing and not stress about everything. Be happy: When I allowed myself to do more things without wasting time on over-thinking it I began to realize the happier I was and the more I was enjoying life and truly appreciating my life. I'm a happier person and find myself smiling and laughing more often.

I can relate! I am also an over thinker, but your solution is right on, just do it! I find when I quit thinking about what I need to do and just do it, things always work out fine. Great 6 words!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marc! :)
DeleteI think I would have a hard time with this assignment as well, but you seem to have made up a pretty good one! I over-think as well and it definitely works against me. Recently though, I think I have gotten a bit better at relaxing and just being happy. The less you over-think, the happier you will be!
ReplyDeleteha yeah I learned the hard way but I definitely try not to over-think things these days..if things are meant to be then they will happen. :)
DeleteIt seems like it would be hard to choose only 6 words to describe yourself.
ReplyDeleteI always over-think too! I have started to realize after over-thinking and venting with friends, that it wasn't that big a deal in the first place and there is no need for an extra stressor.
ReplyDeleteI have such a problem with over-thinking everyyyyything! Honestly, I just annoy myself sometime because I totally catch myself over-analyzing a stupid situation. You are not alone my friend. I also am trying to "just do" lately. I don't want to miss out on any opportunities that are coming my way! :) you go girl.
ReplyDeleteIt was also hard for me to describe life in 6 words, but I tried my best. you are right when you said that we should strat doing things by not over-think them which makes life more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I used to have a habit of over-thinking. It always made life more difficult and caused problems. Just trust your gut instincts more and take things one step at a time.
ReplyDeleteI also found this assignment difficult because sadly I was not gifted with any sort of poeticism. Over-thinking used to be a huge problem for me until finally I just said "whatever dude". Now, whenever I start to feel stressed or anxiety I just say "whatever dude" and am instantly transported to a place of calm and tranquility.
ReplyDeleteI like your 6 words a lot. I normally hesitate on doing things I feel uncomfortable with. I should stop over-thinking and take the risk.
